Amman, Jordan Pt.1

I spent 4 day in Amman, Jordan last week and what a lovely trip it was.

I got to drink coffee with relatives, eat bamya with the neighbours, explore downtown, eat divine food and see what Jordan has to offer.

What I really liked about Jordan is that there is a sense of community and culturalism that you don’t get in the Gulf regions as here I feel like a tourist since majority of Gulf countries are mostly foreigners. In Jordan I felt right at home ;) I have yet to discover the rest of the Levantine countries.

Jafra Restaurant downtown, I got to eat Kofta Jordanian style amoung other things, yum!!!

Orange is the new RED

The summer (or should I say hell climate) is finally coming upon us here in Kuwait and what's a better way to celebrate than with a bit of color? Color to your fingernails ofcourse :)

For those of you know me, I am a nail polish guru and self proclaimed addict!

I've always loved the classic red nail polish however this year I seem to be addicted to orange. It's so puurtttyyyy. I've suggested a few of my favorites below:

1. Samba in Rio by Sephora - it'll definately make you want to Samba in Rio ;)

2. Coralicious by Rimmel - It's a favorite of mine! I loooveeee it. It has a hint of creaminess to it.

3. In The Red by NAILS Topshop - Not sure why it's called in the Red because it's not so red but it is a shade darker than Sephora's Samba in Rio. Below is a coat of In The Red on my nails so you get the idea.

To Graffiti or not to graffiti?

So I've taken the initiative to start my own blog hooraaah since I seem to have an opinion on anything and everything these days.

I was on my way to the G sisters house when I came across this wall of jargon. Obviously someone is a anime freak since that's the only thing I could come to understand on this wall, so to speak. Yes my neighbourhood is cool and this work of art is located right opposite the mosque.

It got my thinking, how do people percieve graffiti? Is it a form of expressing ourselves when our voice are not heard? Is it a political statement? Or is it simply art in it's many forms of expression?

I believe that graffiti is a peaceful form of one's artistic flair yet vandilism of public and private properties. Oximoron. Perhaps there could be disignated areas in countries to cater for graffiti.
